Buddy Lazier was the final driver to make the field for the 92nd running of the Indy 500.
Roger Yasukawa failed once again in his second attempt, missing by .05 mph. Mario Dominguez crashed on his attempt as time ran out, and Max Papis never made it back to the tech line.

Yasukawa is on track minutes after getting bumped. Yasukawa is virtually tied with Dominguez’ speed through three laps. if he drops any speed he will not bump Domingez.
And Yasukawa does not make it by less than 0.1 mph.

Moments ago, Roger Yasukawa and Buddy Lazier entered the tech line. Yasukawa’s team believes he will be bumped with his qualifying speed of 218.010. Yasukawa ran faster than 219 in practice just 20 minutes ago, so he is prepared to take the track for a follow-up run if he gets bumped.

The rain held off, for the most part Thursday, and 35 drivers turned in a total of 2,628 laps. The usual suspects led the lap speeds for the day with Ryan Briscoe (223.708 mph) at the top. Helio Castroneves, Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan and Tomas Scheckter all made the top-five.

Once again weather cut short practice time at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
